Dawin Polanco, who records under the mononym Dawin, is an American recording artist and record producer from Brooklyn, New York. Dawin is best known for his 2015 single, "Dessert", which has reached 16 million views on YouTube and peaked at number 6 on the Official New Zealand Music Chart. He is also known for his 2014 debut single, "Just Girly Things", which peaked at number two on the iTunes Electronic chart in April 2015. He first garnered recognition by posting a six-second snippet of his debut single and posting it as a Vine online. The sample track was used in a number of other vines and was the key to him being signed to a record deal with Republic Records in 2014.
