Sidney Selby III, better known as his stage name Desiigner, is an American rapper from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York City, New York. Desiigner initially gained some major recognition for his single, titled "Panda" (which was produced by Menace), which notably has been scoring for many of freestyles from other artists. On February 11, 2016, Kanye West announced Desiigner's signing to the GOOD Music imprint, under the aegis of Def Jam Recordings.

Desiigner released his single, titled "Panda" on YouTube and SoundCloud on December 20, 2015. On February 11, 2016, Desiigner signed to GOOD Music, under Def Jam Recordings. Later, Desiigner was featured on Kanye West's seventh album, The Life of Pablo, appearing on the tracks such as "Pt. 2" and "Freestyle 4".
